When Opportunity Knocks, Open the Door

Published by prairielady at 11:51 am under music Edit This

Susan Boyle

I have been upset these last few days because my Internet Service has been on the fritz and I have not been able to post my daily blogs, but I have continued to listen to the radio and play my favorite CDs.

I like a wide range of music.  Some music makes me more energic and some makes me calm, like the music from Les Miserables, especially “I Dreamed a Dream.”  So think of my surprise when a friend sent me a link to Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle singing “I Dreamed a Dream.”

You can watch and listen to Susan by following this link

Did you pay attention to the beginning?  Susan said she was nearly 48 years old, lived alone with her cat, Pebbles, and has never been kissed.  Ever since she was 12 years old, she wanted to sing before a large audience.  Simon what has taken so long, and she said that she never had the chance before and hoped this was her chance.

Susan Boyle heard “opportunity” knock on her door when she got the chance to enter Britain’s Got Talent and she opened that door.

That is what life is all about.  You never know when opportunities will come you way, but you have to recognize them when they do.  And most of all, you must be prepared to take the biggest step by opening the door and walking through.

Don’t let the door of opportunity stay closed on your dreams.  Take a page from Susan Boyle’s book, and go out there and knock their socks off!

Live life to the fullest and DREAM!
